Clares Light Still Burns The Life of Sr. Elizabeth Enoch OSC
Paperback- 146 pages perfect bound edition
Sr. Elizabeth Enoch, OSC was a contemplative Franciscan Poor Clare of New York City, a monastic whose purposeful life, personal choices and continual effort to live more fully touched many others. Her vowed life was closely intertwined with those within the walls and those outside the monastery. It was not until I stood among her sisters at her wake that I realized how powerful her stories were, how inviting and how challenging. With the permission of her community, I began recording stories: theirs and hers, mine and those of others who knew her, like Brother Tom Barton.
As the search went on, I learned more about Elizabeth, the Life of the Clares and the breadth of the Franciscan charism. There were many moments where the light of Clare’s message shone clearly in today’s generations of Franciscans.
