The Veritas Society Annual General Meeting will be on 14 November at 1:30 PM

To Our Customers and Patrons

Dear Friends,

We hope that this message finds you and your loved ones well, despite the difficult circumstances we are now facing.

As many of you know, following governmental directives to minimize the spread of COVID-19, the Veritas stores in Halifax and Truro have been closed for several weeks now. We are a not-for-profit organization run entirely by dedicated volunteers nevertheless, the monthly operating costs required to run our stores (e.g., rent, utilities, etc.) are significant, and the reality of our situation is that, at present, the future of Veritas is uncertain.

As the only Christian/Catholic bookstore in Nova Scotia we wish to keep our stores and services accessible for as long as possible and as such, we have adapted our approach in the hope that we can continue to serve our community. We would like to remind you that our online store remains open here: https://www.veritasbookstore.ca/

Our vast selection of books, gifts, and other items are available for purchase online and can be shipped via Canada Post or delivered for free (doorstep delivery) within the Halifax Regional Municipality. Kindly note that we are not able to do doorstep delivery to apartment buildings, given the need to respect social distancing regulations, but delivery by Canada Post remains an option for those living in multi-unit buildings.

For those of you who are able and would like to make a donation to Veritas, you can do so via our address above. As well, we are soon to have a donate button on our web site above.

We thank you in advance for your support and generosity and hope that this new approach will allow us to continue to serve the needs of our dedicated and faithful community, while keeping our stores afloat.

Peace, the hope, and the joy of the Risen Christ,

Debbie Richard   chair/manager  Veritas
