Symbols of Our Faith
A symbol is something that stands for something else. A wedding ring stands for the love between a husband and wife. Our flag represents our country. Symbols tend to speak more to our subconscious and unconscious, more to our hearts and souls.
From her beginning, the Church has used symbols to silently address her children and all humanity. These symbols, some of the earliest being the lamb, the fish, and the cross, have indeed spoken and continue to speak to us.
There are included in this book symbols and images of the triune God, Our Lady, the Apostles and Saints, the Sacraments, the Liturgy, the Seasons of the Church, and much more. There are provided brief explanations of each, all in an attempt to help you, the reader, "grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory now and to the day of eternity. Amen."
